About this grant
The CapitaLand Community Resilience Initiative 2026 is a multi-year grant programme run by AVPN, the Asian Venture Philanthropy Network, with funding from CapitaLand. It gives flexible grants to non-profits that help children and young people build skills and resilience across Asia, with a pool of up to S$4 million. This is the second edition. The application window closed on 22 June 2026 and grantees are due to be announced in November 2026.
What the program offers
Selected organisations can receive a grant of between S$150,000 and S$400,000 (about ₹1.05 crore to ₹2.8 crore) for a two-year project period. The fund starts with S$3.5 million to mobilise, and a new Outcomes Achievement Fund sits on top of it. Grantees who deliver agreed results can unlock extra money from that fund. AVPN says it plans to back three projects in each market. Besides money, grantees get hands-on capacity building to strengthen how their organisation runs, plus a network for sharing knowledge, gaining visibility and finding follow-on funders. Applicants must prepare their budget in Singapore dollars.
Who can apply
The call covers four markets: China, India, Singapore and Vietnam. In India, only registered non-profits can apply, and the programme must be delivered in Tamil Nadu or Karnataka. Social enterprises are accepted only in Vietnam. Your organisation must be secular and not politically affiliated, and the programme you are asking funds for must have been running for at least one year, so pilots do not qualify. You need a clear plan to scale, two recent years of audited financial reports, and the ability to offer volunteering opportunities to the Initiative's supporters. Organisations on US or EU sanctions lists, or blacklisted by a UN or international agency, cannot apply.
The work must fit at least one of three areas, with children and youth under 21 as the main focus: early childhood and basic education, skills development, or mental well-being. For an Indian NGO, a registered trust, society or Section 8 company running a proven education, skills or mental-health programme for young people in Tamil Nadu or Karnataka is the right fit. AVPN states that FCRA registration is not required for this Initiative. Organisations outside those two states, and those still piloting a new idea, should not apply.
How to apply
Applications went through AVPN's online portal. Each section of the form has a word limit, and you upload your documents there. Plan to submit proof of your non-profit status issued by the national authorities, your audited accounts for the last two years, a budget in Singapore dollars, and a description of the outcomes you expect for children and youth. Joint applications are allowed if one lead applicant submits. Registered international NGOs with a separate local office may apply for each office but are encouraged to focus on one proposal. AVPN asks applicants to focus on one market. A practical tip: if the call reopens, join an information session first, as AVPN ran virtual sessions and an in-person session in Bangalore for the 2026 round.
How applications are judged and what happens next
An Operating and Grant Committee reviews applications against the published criteria. These include how well the problem fits the solution, the impact of the proposed work, and the organisation's ability to use the funds well. The programme timeline was: call launched on 19 May 2026, information sessions in late May and June, deadline on 22 June 2026, review from June to October, and announcement of grantees in November 2026. Grantees send progress reports and join check-in calls every six months.

Things to check before you apply
The 2026 round is closed, and the source does not state a date for a 2027 round, so watch AVPN's site for a new call. Indian recipients of foreign money should check FCRA, FEMA and tax treatment with an adviser, even though FCRA registration is not an entry requirement here. Expect to run the programme for two years with six-monthly reporting. Programme geography is limited, so confirm your delivery districts fall in Tamil Nadu or Karnataka before starting an application.
