CodeRush 2.0 is a 24-hour multi-domain innovation hackathon organised by Yeshwantrao Chavan College of Engineering (YCCE), Nagpur. The event invites the brightest student minds to solve real-world challenges by ideating, prototyping, and presenting cutting-edge solutions to problem statements inspired by global innovation leaders.
Who Should Apply
Open to all students from recognised colleges and universities across India. Inter-college and inter-specialisation teams are allowed. No prior hackathon experience is required — the event is beginner to expert friendly.
Format & Timeline
The hackathon is structured in multiple rounds:
- Round 1: Idea Submission (Online) — Teams submit a brief idea proposal (PDF/PPT) for any track under Open Innovation. Top 50 teams are shortlisted based on the submission. Shortlisted teams pay a registration fee of ₹2,000 per team (accommodation and meals provided free of cost).
- Round 2: Final Development Round (On-site) — The selected 50 teams compete offline at YCCE Nagpur from 7 August 9:00 AM to 8 August 9:00 AM. Teams receive problem statements from sponsors and build a functional prototype. Mentors and evaluators guide and assess progress. This is a non-eliminator round.
- Round 3: Live Pitch + Demo — Teams present their solution to a jury of experts (10-minute pitch + 5-minute Q&A).
- Round 4: Final Live Pitch — Top 10 teams present to a jury and the crowd. Winners are announced and prizes distributed.
Prizes
- 1st Prize: ₹35,000
- 2nd Prize: ₹25,000
- 3rd Prize: ₹10,000
- Consolation Prize: ₹30,000 in AI Credits
- Participation Certificates for all teams
- Incubation Support for winning teams
Eligibility
Teams of exactly 5 members. Open to all students from recognised colleges/universities. Participants must carry a valid institutional ID card. Inter-college and inter-specialisation teams are allowed.
