CODEXA is a two-day innovation sprint organized by MVSR Engineering College (MVSREC), Hyderabad. Designed to foster problem-solving abilities and technical execution, this event combines ideation, development, and competitive coding into a comprehensive learning and competitive experience. It's an opportunity for participants to showcase their skills in a structured, multi-round format.
Who Should Apply
The competition is open to individuals and teams of 1 to 3 members. Inter-college teams are explicitly allowed, encouraging collaboration across institutions. Teams can be formed prior to the event or during the event itself.
Tracks / Themes
While specific themes are not listed, the competition emphasizes general problem-solving, technical innovation, and coding proficiency. A special hands-on session with VIBE_AGENT will focus on modern AI-driven development, including Vibe Coding, Agentic AI, and n8n automation, suggesting a strong leaning towards AI and advanced tech solutions.
Format & Timeline
CODEXA spans two days, featuring a three-round structure:
- Round 1: Idea Pitch (Day 1): Participants will analyze a given problem statement and present their structured solution approach, focusing on clarity, feasibility, and innovation.
- Round 2: Prototyping (Day 1): Teams will develop their solutions into working prototypes in a monitored environment, emphasizing iterative development. This round also includes a 90-minute VIBE_AGENT hands-on session.
- Round 3: Final Implementation & Evaluation (Day 2): Teams present their final solutions, which will be evaluated based on overall execution, functionality, scalability, and presentation.
In parallel to these main rounds, three coding challenges will be conducted to test logical thinking and coding proficiency under time constraints.
Prizes
The competition boasts a total cash prize pool of ₹10,000, along with additional vouchers:
- First Place: ₹5,000 cash + vouchers worth ₹10,000
- Second Place: ₹3,000 cash + vouchers worth ₹10,000
- Third Place: ₹2,000 cash + vouchers worth ₹10,000
- Fourth to Tenth Place: Vouchers worth ₹10,000 each
Eligibility
Participants must register in teams of 1–3 members, with team composition remaining unchanged throughout the event. All solutions must be original and developed during the event. Use of internet, AI tools, and open-source resources is permitted, provided teams can explain their implementation. Plagiarism or direct copying of existing solutions will result in disqualification.
How to Apply
Registration requires completing payment and registration on Unstop. Following this, participants must fill out a private Luma Form to receive an Approval & QR Code, which confirms offline access. Approvals are processed daily between 8:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
