What is it? The Google Gemini AI Challenge is a hybrid, hands-on competition designed for students across India to showcase their creativity, prompt engineering skills, and design thinking using Google's Gemini AI and Nano Banana tools. Organized by the Google Student Ambassador Program in collaboration with ABIT RGIT and the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC RGIT), this event offers a unique opportunity to dive into generative AI in a fun, competitive environment.

Who is it for? This challenge is open to all undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) students across India, regardless of academic discipline or year of study. Whether you are from IT, Computer Science, Core Engineering, Management, Arts, Commerce, or any other stream, you are welcome to participate. No prior technical knowledge or prerequisites are required — everything needed will be explained from scratch at the start of the session.

What to expect? Participants will engage in a single, fast-paced afternoon sprint where they must plan a Freshers Party using Gemini Chat and then bring that plan to life visually using Nano Banana. The competition consists of:

A brainstorming and prompt engineering phase using Gemini Chat to create a detailed party plan (theme, games, quiz, welcome message, activity schedule).
A poster design phase using Nano Banana to visually represent the campus transformed by the party plan.
A 60-second pitch where participants present their idea to the room.
A live voting round where the audience decides the top campus innovator.

Voting by peers to determine the winner.

Speakers / Organisers: The event is backed by the Google Student Ambassador Program, a global initiative that empowers student leaders to foster tech communities on campus. ABIT RGIT and IIC RGIT are the local institutional partners, providing infrastructure and innovation ecosystem support.

Prizes & Recognition:

The top performer receives a prestigious Winner Certificate endorsed by Google and is officially nominated to the national level to compete for a brand new Google Pixel Phone.
Every participant receives a verified Participation Certificate backed by Google, adding value to their resume and portfolio.
