Junior Robo-Race is a robotics racing competition held as part of TechTrix'26, organised by the Navrachna Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development at I.T.S Engineering College, Greater Noida. It is a hands-on engineering challenge for student teams who build and pilot their own wirelessly controlled robots across an obstacle course.
What it is Teams of two design, build and manually drive a custom robot over a track featuring slopes, ramps, bridges, rollers, seesaws, tunnels and sharp turns. The goal is simple: reach the finish line in the shortest possible time. The exact track and obstacle arrangement are revealed only on event day, so adaptability and precise manual control matter as much as build quality.
Who it's for Student robotics builders, engineering teams and anyone who enjoys competitive hardware. Teams must construct their own robot - ready-made toy cars are not permitted.

Format and judging A qualifying round by time is followed by a final round for the fastest teams. Ranking uses Adjusted Time = actual run time + penalties, with the lowest adjusted time winning. Penalties include +1 second per boundary touch, +15 seconds per hand touch (maximum 3), and +20 seconds per skipped obstacle (maximum 2). Exceeding size, weight or voltage limits, using wired or autonomous control, repeated false starts, outside assistance, or unsporting conduct all lead to disqualification. The judge's decision is final.
Pre-event inspection Teams report to the arena at least 30 minutes before start time for a mandatory technical inspection and weigh-in.
