Robo Race is a thrilling three-round robotic challenge organized by NMIMS Chandigarh as part of Anviksha – The Epoch 2026, the institute's annual techno-cultural fest. This competition is designed to test your robot's speed, precision, control, and engineering skills as you navigate through a specially designed track filled with turns, obstacles, and challenging sections. The objective is simple — complete the track successfully in the shortest possible time while maintaining control and accuracy.

Whether you're a robotics enthusiast, an engineering student, or simply love building and controlling robots, this is your chance to compete, innovate, and race your way to victory!

Eligibility:

Open to students from colleges/universities.
Participants must register according to the specified team format.
Prior robotics experience is not mandatory, but basic knowledge of robot control is recommended.

Team Size: 1–4 members per team

Event Format: The competition consists of 3 rounds:

Round 1 – Qualifying Round: Teams attempt to complete the designated track and qualify based on their performance/time.
Round 2 – Challenge Round: Qualified teams face a more challenging track/environment designed to test their control, precision, and obstacle-handling abilities.
Round 3 – Final Race: The top-performing teams compete in the final round to determine the winners.

Detailed round structure, qualification criteria, penalties, and scoring methodology will be communicated by the organizers.

Bot Specifications:

Maximum Dimensions: 30 cm × 30 cm × 25 cm (Height)
Maximum Weight: 3 kg
Maximum Operating Voltage: 12V

Rules:

The bot must comply with the specified size, weight, and voltage limits.
Teams must operate their own registered bot during the competition.
Participants must follow all instructions given by the event coordinators and judges.
The bot must be suitable for safe operation within the competition arena.
Any intentional damage to the arena, track, or other participants' equipment may result in penalties or disqualification.
A participant may register two different bots, provided they are registered under two separate teams.
Participants must report to the designated venue before their scheduled round.
Technical inspection of the bot may be conducted before or during the event.
Detailed rules, penalties, time penalties, scoring criteria, track-specific rules, and other regulations will be shared/updated on the event page and communicated by the organizers.
The decision of the judges and organizers will be final and binding.
