Decode SIH 2026 was a national-level hackathon with a ₹50,00,000 prize pool, paid as cash and AI platform credits across three event tracks. It ran from 29 July to 5 September 2026 and is now closed. It was open to Indian participants.
Format and timeline About 50 days from ideation to a Grand Finale on 5 September 2026, held offline in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru. The top 60 teams from the ideation round advanced to the finale.
Support for teams Mentorship from SIH winners, product managers, software engineers, startup founders and industry experts. Guidance from problem selection through prototype to final pitch, with live mentorship sessions, prototype reviews and mock jury evaluations. Team members who submitted the official ideation template got participation certificates, and selected participants may receive internship opportunities.

What You Get
Participants compete for a share of a ₹50,00,000 prize pool, awarded as cash prizes and AI platform credits across the three event tracks. Beyond the prize money, the roughly 50-day programme offers structured support: mentorship from SIH winners, product managers, software engineers, startup founders and industry experts; guidance from problem selection and research through prototype development to final pitching; live mentorship sessions, prototype reviews and mock jury evaluations; and pitch preparation for the offline Grand Finale in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru. The top 60 teams from the ideation round advance to the Grand Finale. Selected participants may also receive internship opportunities, and the programme advertises access to potential placement opportunities. Team members who submit the official ideation template receive participation certificates.
