The Desk is a two-stage finance challenge organized by the Finomaniac Club at BITS Pilani, designed for students who want to test their market knowledge and strategic thinking. The event is open to undergraduate, postgraduate, and MBA students from any college in India, across all years, streams, and specializations. Working professionals and school students are not eligible.

Stage 1: Online Quiz (Eliminator)

Conducted on Unstop on 16 September, 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
Duration: 25 minutes, 30 MCQs.
Scoring: +1 for each correct answer, no negative marking.
Topics: Finance Basics, Business & Market Awareness, Current Affairs, Logical Reasoning, and Analytical Thinking.
Single attempt per team; top performers qualify for Stage 2.

Stage 2: The Desk (Offline Main Event)

Date: 26 September at BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus.
Duration: Approximately 2–3 hours.
An immersive live finance simulation and strategy challenge. The full format and rules are revealed only to qualified teams on-site. No prior preparation is required.
Teams must report 2–3 hours early and carry their College ID.

Team Guidelines

Team size: 1–3 members.
Inter-college, inter-specialisation, and inter-year teams are allowed.
One student cannot be part of more than one team.
Only the Team Leader attempts the quiz on behalf of the team.

Prizes

1st: ₹8,000
2nd: ₹5,000
3rd: ₹3,000
Participation certificates for all Stage 2 finalists.

Rules

Registrations only via Unstop; no on-the-spot entries.
Any unfair means, tab-switching, external help, or AI tools during the quiz leads to immediate disqualification.
Organisers' decisions are final and binding.
