Futura 2026 is the flagship overnight Designathon of DesignX, Rishihood University's multi-domain design festival. This high-stakes, 12-hour onsite creative sprint challenges student designers from across India to research, ideate, prototype, and pitch innovative solutions to real-world design problems, all under one roof.
Who Should Apply
This designathon is open to all college students across India, regardless of their discipline or background. Whether you're a designer, developer, researcher, or strategist, you're welcome to participate. Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members.
Format & Timeline
The problem statement will be revealed at 7:00 PM on April 17th, 2026. Participants will then have until 10:00 AM on April 18th, 2026, to submit their solutions. The hackathon officially begins at 10:00 PM on April 17th. Immediately following the submission deadline, teams will present their solutions live to a panel of expert judges. This is a fully onsite event, requiring participants to be present at Rishihood University in Sonipat, Haryana.
Prizes
Futura 2026 boasts a total cash prize pool of ₹30,000, distributed among the top winners and special categories. Beyond cash, every registered participant receives a 6-month Canva Pro subscription (worth ₹2,000) and exclusive access to the TruScholar Smart Credential Wallet, which includes an AI-powered Career Coach, AI-based Interview Preparation Tool, TruResume (ATS-friendly AI Resume Builder), and an Inbuilt Job & Internship Portal. Winners also receive certificates and DesignX goodies.
Eligibility
Open to all college students across India. Teams must comprise 2 to 4 members. Onsite participation is mandatory; remote or hybrid participation is not available. All work must be original and created during the Designathon.
How to Apply
Registered teams will receive problem statements via email at 7:00 PM on April 17th and will submit their final solutions via an official Google Form by 10:00 AM on April 18th. The registration deadline is April 16th, 2026. Apply through the official Unstop event page.
