Quick Answer
Goa government scheme offering capital investment subsidies up to ₹1 crore for new and existing IT Units operating in the state, with incentives linked to local employment.
About this subsidy
Launched in 2018, the Capital Investment Subsidy Scheme is a flagship initiative under the Information Technology Policy of the Government of Goa. This scheme is strategically designed to bolster the IT ecosystem within the state by providing crucial financial support in the form of capital investment subsidies to eligible Information Technology (IT) Units. The primary objective is to position Goa as a desirable geographical and human resource hub for IT businesses, thereby encouraging investment and expansion.
This policy is crucial for both new entrants and established IT firms looking to grow their presence in Goa. By offsetting a portion of their capital expenditures, the government aims to reduce the financial burden on IT units, stimulating economic growth and job creation within the region. The scheme reflects Goa's vision to become a preferred destination for IT sector investments, fostering innovation and contributing to the state's overall development through a vibrant technology industry.
