About this subsidy
The "Goa State Logistics and Warehousing Incentives Scheme" was launched by the Department of Industries, Government of Goa, with the primary objective of bolstering the logistics and warehousing industry within the State. This particular component, "Subsidy Towards Annual Interest Rate Payable On Loans," is designed to provide crucial financial assistance for the development and expansion of projects in this vital sector. The scheme directly addresses the high capital expenditure associated with establishing and growing logistics and warehousing infrastructure by partially offsetting the cost of debt. It offers a reimbursement of 50% of the annual interest amount payable by eligible entities on loans specifically taken for project construction. This incentive aims to reduce the financial burden on businesses, encouraging investment and growth in Goa's logistics and warehousing capabilities. The scheme is meticulously implemented and monitored by the Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC), ensuring timely sanctioning of applications within 90 days from submission. It is an integral part of Goa's broader Logistics and Warehousing Policy 2023, reflecting the state government's commitment to enhancing its industrial infrastructure and creating a supportive business environment for this sector.
