Quick Answer
A Goa government scheme offering 50% reimbursement, up to ₹5,000 per person, for skill development and training costs incurred by eligible logistics and warehousing entities in Goa.
About this subsidy
The Goa State Logistics And Warehousing Incentives Scheme, 2025, launched by the Government of Goa, aims to bolster the state's burgeoning logistics and warehousing industry. This specific component, 'Subsidy Towards Skill Development,' is designed to provide crucial financial assistance by reimbursing eligible entities for a portion of the costs associated with skill upgradation and manpower training. This initiative addresses the growing demand for skilled labor within the sector, enhancing the capabilities of the workforce and, in turn, improving efficiency and competitiveness for businesses operating in Goa.
By supporting skill development, the scheme intends to create a more robust and professional logistics ecosystem. It targets local businesses, encouraging them to invest in their human capital without bearing the full financial burden. This strategic intervention is vital for promoting economic growth, attracting further investment into Goa's logistics sector, and ensuring that Goan residents are equipped with the skills necessary for modern industry demands. The scheme is implemented by the Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC) and applications are streamlined through the Goa online single-window system.

Selection Process
Upon receipt of an application, the Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC) initiates a verification process. Any shortfalls in the application form or submitted documents will lead to a query being raised to the applicant. Once the application and documents are successfully verified, DITC designates an official to conduct a physical inspection of the entity. This inspection involves verifying all records and documents as per the operational guidelines and a predefined checklist. The inspecting officers are required to upload their reports to the portal within 48 hours, making them accessible to the entrepreneur.
Following a satisfactory inspection report, the application is forwarded to the Chief Executive Officer, Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (Goa-IPB), for thorough due diligence. After receiving the recommendation from Goa-IPB's CEO, DITC prepares an appraisal note for each case. These notes are then presented to the Incentive Review Committee (IRC) for deliberation and sanctioning of the claims. Finally, based on the IRC's recommendations, DITC prepares the approval note for the Accounts Department to process the disbursement of incentives. All sanctioned claims are organized chronologically and disbursed to the respective entities according to established procedures, on a first-come, first-served basis.
