Selection Process
Upon successful submission of the application, the Directorate of Industries, Trade and Commerce (DITC) will first review for any shortfalls and raise queries to the applicant for resolution. Following a successful verification of applications and documents, DITC will designate an official to conduct an on-site inspection of the entity to verify all records and documents against a verification-cum-recommendation checklist. The inspection reports are uploaded to the portal within 48 hours and made accessible to the entrepreneur. Post-inspection, the application proceeds to the Chief Executive Officer, Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board (Goa-IPB) for due diligence. Once a recommendation is received from Goa-IPB, DITC prepares an appraisal note for presentation to the Incentive Review Committee. This committee convenes to scrutinize and deliberate on the incentive application before sanctioning the claims. Finally, based on the Incentive Review Committee's recommendations, DITC prepares an approval note for the Accounts Department to disburse the sanctioned incentives chronologically to the respective eligible entities. The scheme also includes provisions for follow-up inspections by concerned officers every six months to ensure proper utilization and continued eligibility.
