Hack The Mind is a 24-hour social-impact hackathon presented by EFO NSUT in collaboration with Team Eklavya. This competition challenges participants to develop innovative technology solutions that address real-world social problems and improve communities through impactful projects.
Who Should Apply
Open to teams of 2-4 members. This hackathon is ideal for students, developers, designers, and innovators passionate about leveraging technology for social good and creating tangible community impact.
Tracks / Themes
Participants are encouraged to focus their solutions on one of the following critical social areas:
- Healthcare Accessibility: Innovations to improve access to healthcare services and resources.
- Education for Underprivileged Communities: Solutions designed to bridge educational gaps and empower disadvantaged learners.
- Cyber Safety for Citizens: Tools and platforms aimed at enhancing online security and digital well-being.
- Environmental Sustainability: Projects promoting ecological balance, conservation, and green initiatives.
- Smart Public Services: Enhancing the efficiency, accessibility, and reach of government and public services.
- Support Platforms for Farmers & Local Workers: Technology solutions to empower agricultural and local labor sectors.
Format & Timeline
The competition features a two-round format. Round 1 involves an online PPT submission window from April 1 to May 8, 2026. Shortlisted teams will then proceed to the Final Round, an offline 24-hour hackathon held on May 23-24, 2026, at the Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT) campus in New Delhi.
Prizes
A prize pool worth ₹70,000 will be awarded to winners and runners-up, including valuable courses, gift hampers, and vouchers. Additionally, winning teams will gain a valuable opportunity to work on a real project and receive potential funding support to further develop their solutions.
Eligibility
Teams must consist of 2 to 4 members. The competition is open to individuals and teams from across India, particularly students and innovators focused on social impact.
