HackArena 2.0 Online Zonals serves as the crucial qualifying round for Ignite Room's flagship hackathon, HackArena 2.0. Organized by Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Delhi, this online event provides a platform for students to showcase their innovation in Generative and Agentic AI. Participants will compete virtually to earn a spot in the prestigious 24-hour HackArena 2.0 Grand Finale in Delhi, where finalists from across India will converge.
Who Should Apply
This hackathon is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from across India. Participants must register as a team of 2 to 4 members. Individual participants are not permitted, and members cannot be part of multiple teams or different HackArena qualifying rounds.
Tracks / Themes
The core theme for this round is Generative & Agentic AI. Teams are encouraged to develop innovative applications utilizing Generative AI models, AI agents, autonomous workflows, and intelligent systems. The goal is to create solutions that address real-world problems and generate meaningful impact.
Competition Structure & Timeline
The competition is structured in two online rounds:
- Round 1: Online Idea Submission (Deadline: June 9th)
Teams are required to submit a PPT/PDF presentation detailing their proposed solution. This submission should clearly outline the problem statement, proposed solution, technology stack, implementation approach, expected impact, and future scope. Submissions will be evaluated based on innovation, clarity, technical feasibility, and potential impact.
- Round 2: Final Online Judging Round (June 13th & 14th)
Shortlisted teams will present their prototype, progress, or working demo to a panel of judges and mentors during dedicated 10-minute virtual presentation slots. Top teams from this round will qualify for the HackArena 2.0 Grand Finale in Delhi.
Prizes
The overall prize pool for HackArena 2.0 is ₹20,00,000. Additionally, the top 3 teams at the Grand Finale in Delhi will receive a cash prize of ₹1,00,000. Participants who make it to the offline zonal round will receive a Certificate of Participation, and the top 10-12 shortlisted teams for the Grand Finale will receive a Certificate of Appreciation.
Eligibility
Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Teams must consist of 2–4 members. Participants may be asked to present a valid college ID card during verification. All team members must be registered during the application process.
