About this competition
HackDevengers 1.0 is an international online hackathon organised by Devengers, designed for developers, students, creators, and tech enthusiasts who love solving real-world problems through innovation. The event challenges participants to build a complete solution within just 8 hours, competing with innovators from around the world.
Who Should Apply This hackathon is open to individual participants only — developers, students, and tech enthusiasts from any background who are passionate about Generative AI, Artificial Intelligence, or Web Development. No team formation is required; each participant works solo.
Tracks / Themes Participants can choose from three tracks:
- Generative AI — Build solutions leveraging generative models for content creation, design, or automation.
- Artificial Intelligence — Develop AI-powered applications for prediction, classification, or intelligent decision-making.
- Web Development — Create functional, user-friendly web applications addressing the given challenge.
Format & Timeline The hackathon takes place entirely online on 9 August 2026, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM IST. The official problem statement is revealed live during the opening session, ensuring a fair start for all participants. Projects are submitted via a Google Form shared in the mandatory WhatsApp community. Submissions must include a GitHub repository link, live deployment link, and project description. Judging is manual and based on innovation, technical implementation, code quality, problem-solving approach, functionality, scalability, and user experience.
Prizes The prize pool is expected to exceed USD 300 (approximately ₹27,600 at 92 INR/USD), with cash prizes for the top 3 winners. All registered participants receive free Vercel and OpenAI credits. Top 10 participants receive a Certificate of Achievement and social media recognition. Every eligible participant with a valid submission receives a Certificate of Participation.
Eligibility Open to individual participants worldwide. No team size — solo participation only. No age or educational restrictions mentioned.
About the Organiser Devengers is a community-driven platform that organises hackathons and coding challenges for developers globally. They focus on creating accessible, skill-building competitions that foster innovation and collaboration across borders.
