HackDUCS is the flagship hackathon of Sankalan 2026, meticulously organized by the Department of Computer Science (DoCS), University of Delhi. This 12-hour hybrid hackathon is designed to unite top student innovators from across India, providing a dynamic platform to develop solutions for real-world challenges and demonstrate their technical expertise.
Who Should Apply
The competition is open to all currently enrolled students from any college or university. Participation is exclusively team-based, with each team comprising 2 to 4 members.
Tracks / Themes
Participants are encouraged to develop projects within diverse domains, including Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), Web3, Cybersecurity, Social Impact, and Open Innovation.
Format & Timeline
HackDUCS features a rigorous two-round selection process. Round 1: Online Submission requires teams to submit a comprehensive presentation (PPT) outlining their problem, proposed solution, and approach, along with a live project link and a GitHub repository. Projects must have been developed on or after April 15, 2025. The top 30 teams will be shortlisted to advance. Round 2: Offline Hackathon will be held at the Department of Computer Science, Delhi University. This phase is divided into two parts: Phase 1 involves teams receiving a random feature to implement and integrate into their existing project, with an evaluation at 3:00 PM. The top 8 teams will then proceed to Phase 2 for final presentations, which commence at 4:30 PM. The event culminates with results and a closing ceremony at 6:00 PM.
Prizes
HackDUCS offers a total cash prize pool of ₹22,000, distributed among the top three winning teams:
- 1st Prize: ₹10,000 + Goodies
- 2nd Prize: ₹7,000 + Goodies
- 3rd Prize: ₹5,000 + Goodies
Beyond cash prizes, participants will receive certificates, enjoy lunch during the offline event, and gain invaluable networking opportunities with peers, mentors, and industry experts. It's also a prime chance to showcase innovative projects at a prestigious University of Delhi event.

Open to students from any college. Teams must consist of 2–4 members.
