About this competition
HackfiniX 2026 is a 24-hour innovation-driven hackathon organised by Cambridge Institute of Technology North Campus, Bengaluru. The event brings together curious minds to build impactful solutions for real-world challenges, focusing on creativity, collaboration, and technology.
Who Should Apply Open to undergraduate students from BE/BTech, BCA/MCA, BSc (CS), and other relevant disciplines. Teams of 3 to 4 members. Teams can be interdepartmental and inter-semester but not intercollege.
Tracks / Themes Participants can build solutions aligned with the following domains:
- Track 01: Smart Manufacturing & Industry 5.0
- Track 02: Human–AI Collaboration
- Track 03: Sustainability & Green Technologies
- Track 04: Industrial Cybersecurity
Format & Timeline The hackathon runs for 24 hours at the Cambridge Institute of Technology North Campus, Bengaluru. Participants will engage in an intensive building experience — from brainstorming and prototyping to developing functional solutions. Teams must work on the problem statement submitted during the selection phase. All submissions must be original work. Hardware teams can come with their own hardware components. The decision of the judges will be final and binding. Per team can submit up to two ideas using the template provided by the organisers.
Prizes Total prize pool of ₹12,90,000 including:
- Winner - Track 01: ₹40,000
- Runner Up - Track 01: ₹20,000
- Winner - Track 02: ₹40,000
- Runner Up - Track 02: ₹20,000
- Winner - Track 03: ₹40,000
- Runner Up - Track 03: ₹20,000
- Winner - Track 04: ₹40,000
- Runner Up - Track 04: ₹20,000
- Gifts & Goodies: ₹40,000
- Incubation Support for best Ideas: ₹10,00,000
- Best UI/UX Design: ₹10,000
Eligibility Open to undergraduate students from BE/BTech, BCA/MCA, BSc (CS), and other relevant disciplines. Teams of 3 to 4 members. Teams can be interdepartmental and inter-semester but not intercollege. Finalist team members will be charged ₹100 per person.
