About this competition
Hacksynergy 2026 is a two-stage inter-college hackathon organised by Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC), Ghaziabad. The competition invites student teams from across India to solve real-world problems across five themes, with a total cash prize pool of ₹1,00,000.
Who Should Apply Open to all college students. Inter-college and inter-specialization teams are allowed. Teams of 2 to 5 members.
Themes Participants must choose one of the following themes: Health Care, Cybersecurity, EdTech, Fintech, or Open Innovation.
Format & Timeline The hackathon is conducted in two rounds:
- Round 1 (Online): Teams submit a project/idea in PPT format. Submissions are evaluated and shortlisted.
- Round 2 (Offline, 24-hour Hackathon): Shortlisted teams build and present a working prototype on-site at IPEC over 22–23 August 2026.
Prizes
- 1st Prize: ₹25,000 + Campus Ambassador Internship
- First Runner Up: ₹15,000
- Second Runner Up: ₹10,000
- Goodies, Swags, Resource Kit & More: ₹50,000 Total cash prize pool: ₹1,00,000.
Eligibility Each team must consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 5 students. Participants must carry a valid college/institute ID card during the on-site round. Plagiarism or pre-built solutions will lead to disqualification.

What You Get
Top teams take home cash prizes from the ₹1,00,000 prize pool: the winning team receives ₹25,000 plus a Campus Ambassador Internship, the first runner-up receives ₹15,000, and the second runner-up receives ₹10,000. In addition, ₹50,000 is spread across goodies, swags, resource kits and other rewards. All shortlisted teams get hands-on experience building a working prototype at a 24-hour on-site hackathon, with the chance to impress judges across healthcare, cybersecurity, edtech, fintech, or open innovation.
