Ideathon 2026 | Turn Ideas into Impact
The Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Jai Shriram Engineering College, Tiruppur, presents IDEATHON 2026 — an innovation challenge designed to inspire students to identify real-world problems and develop impactful, practical, and scalable solutions. Whether your idea focuses on technology, healthcare, agriculture, sustainability, education, smart cities, AI, IoT, or social innovation, this competition provides the perfect platform to showcase your creativity and entrepreneurial mindset.
Who Should Apply
Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from all branches of study. Individual participants or teams of up to 4 members are welcome.
Themes
Participants may present ideas related to: Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Cities, Agriculture, Healthcare, Education Technology, Sustainability, Renewable Energy, FinTech, Robotics, Social Innovation, and Open Innovation.
Format & Timeline
The competition is held offline on 1 August 2026 at Jai Shriram Engineering College, Tiruppur. It consists of two rounds:
- Round 1 – Idea Presentation: Participants present their innovative idea using a PowerPoint presentation.
- Round 2 – Jury Interaction: Teams answer questions from the evaluation panel regarding feasibility, innovation, implementation strategy, and impact.
Evaluation criteria include: Innovation & Creativity, Problem Identification, Feasibility, Technical Approach, Business Potential, Social Impact, Presentation Skills, and Scalability.
Prizes
Top teams will receive cash prizes totalling ₹3,000. All participants receive certificates of participation, expert feedback, and networking opportunities.
Eligibility
Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from any branch. Teams of 1 to 4 members. Original ideas only — plagiarism leads to disqualification.
