What You Get
This is a prize-based competition, not an equity investment — no equity is taken and there is nothing to repay. The $6,600 prize pool breaks down as: 1st place — a YRI Fellowship research placement for every team member (up to 4 people), valued at $1,500 per person / $6,000 per team, with direct mentorship from Ivy League faculty, plus 300 Featherless.ai credits; 2nd place — $200 cash; 3rd place — $100 cash. Every participant also gets 25 free Featherless.ai inference credits (access to 30,000+ open-source models), so API costs won't stall your build. Win or lose, you finish with a public repo, demo video, and technical writeup you can show admissions officers or recruiters.
