Impetus'26 is a public policy and consulting case competition organised by the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore). The competition challenges participants to step into the role of consultants advising the Government of India (as a hypothetical client) on designing a national strategy to improve women's participation, retention and leadership in the formal workforce.
Who Should Apply
Open to students and professionals interested in public policy, consulting, and social impact. Teams of 2–3 members compete in two rounds.
Format & Timeline
The competition has two rounds:
- Round 1: A 25-question online quiz (15 minutes) on Unstop, selected from a bank of 50 caselet-based questions.
- Round 2: Shortlisted teams receive a client brief titled "Mission UDAAN: Designing India's Next Leap in Women's Economic Participation" and present their consulting recommendations.
The competition runs from July 23 to August 7, 2026. Registration closes on July 28, 2026.
Prizes
- Winner: ₹15,000 cash prize
- Participation Certificate for all participants who complete the competition.
Eligibility
Open to all. Teams of 2–3 members. No specific academic or professional background required.
