Quick Answer
60% of inland transport cost to the international port reimbursed, up to Rs. 5 lakh per year for five years, for registered Ladakh export units.
About this subsidy
Getting goods out of Ladakh to a port is expensive, so the Sustainable Industrial Policy Ladakh 2022-27 covers most of that leg. A unit exporting finished goods from Ladakh to a destination outside India can claim 60% of the transportation cost up to the international air or sea port within the country, subject to a maximum of Rs. 5 lakh per year per unit, for a maximum of five years.
Both new and existing industrial units (irrespective of substantial expansion) qualify, but the incentive is admissible only to units registered as export units. A unit must choose between this Export Subsidy and the policy's Transport Subsidy (Incentive 6.3) — the two cannot be combined.
