About this competition
Market Makers 2026 is a national-level case competition organised by Mochatrade (YC P26) that challenges participants to solve a high-impact business problem inspired by the dynamic world of finance, fintech, business strategy, and decision-making. Across three competitive rounds, participants will apply financial knowledge, strategic thinking, analytical skills, and creativity to develop practical solutions for a real-world business challenge.
Who Should Apply Open to everyone — students, professionals, and enthusiasts. Cross-disciplinary teams are encouraged. Participants may register as part of only one team.
Competition Structure
- Round 1 – Online Quiz (20 July): 10 MCQ questions on financial markets, business strategy, and logical reasoning. Duration: 10–15 minutes. Top teams qualify.
- Round 2 – Case Analysis Challenge (21–23 July): Industry-inspired finance and strategy case. Submit a 2–3 slide consulting presentation (PDF/PPT). Top teams qualify for the Grand Finale.
- Round 3 – Grand Finale (Live Online, 26 July): Solve a new case challenge. Submit a 5-slide presentation. 7-minute presentation followed by a 3-minute live Q&A with the expert jury.

What You Get
This is a prize-based competition, not a grant or investment. The winning team receives ₹10,000 in cash plus a Pre Placement Interview with Mochatrade; the runner-up team receives ₹5,000 in cash. The third-place team receives a Certificate of Excellence. Prizes are paid as one-time awards based on final rank, not as milestone-linked or reimbursement funding.
