About this competition
PixxelHack 2.0 is the flagship web development hackathon organised by the TCET-ACM-SIGITE Student Chapter, the official ACM student chapter of Thakur College of Engineering and Technology (TCET), Mumbai. Following the success of the inaugural edition, this edition challenges aspiring developers, designers, and innovators to build impactful web solutions that solve real-world problems, with a special emphasis on crafting intuitive, responsive, and visually engaging web experiences.
Who Should Apply Open to all college students across India. Cross-college teams are allowed. The hackathon is designed to be accessible for participants at all skill levels, making it an ideal opportunity for first-time hackathon participants as well as experienced builders.
Format & Timeline The competition follows a two-round selection process:
- Round 1 – Ideation & Proposal Submission (2nd–3rd August 2026): Teams select from a curated set of real-world problem statements and submit a proposal covering problem understanding, innovation, technical feasibility, solution design, and presentation quality.
- Round 2 – Development Sprint (7th–8th August 2026): Shortlisted teams build and deploy a working web application. Judging criteria include functionality, user experience, interface design, responsiveness, innovation, technical implementation, practical impact, and final demonstration.
Prizes 1st Prize: ₹3,000 2nd Prize: ₹2,000 3rd Prize: ₹1,000 All eligible participants receive certificates.
Eligibility Teams of 1–2 members. Cross-college teams are permitted. Each participant can be a member of only one team. Teams with a mix of TCET-ACM-SIGITE members and non-members must register under the Non-Member category.
About the Organiser TCET-ACM-SIGITE Student Chapter is the official ACM student chapter at Thakur College of Engineering and Technology, Mumbai. The chapter organises technical events, workshops, and hackathons to foster innovation and technical skills among students.

What You Get
This is a cash-prize competition, not a grant or investment: the top three teams win outright prize money — 1st place ₹3,000, 2nd place ₹2,000, and 3rd place ₹1,000 — with no equity taken and no repayment required. Beyond the cash prizes, all eligible participants receive certificates, which can be useful for portfolio, resume, and campus placement purposes.
