At a glance

Best forNew units, and units doing a substantial expansion, that borrow from a scheduled commercial bank or an RBI-registered financial institution.

About Capital Interest Subvention

This is an interest reimbursement on a loan you take from a bank. It is not a grant and not a loan from the department. The unit still pays a minimum rate of interest itself.

What you get

  • Part of the interest on the term loan reimbursed, for a maximum of five consecutive years.
  • Higher rates and caps for priority-sector units and for larger investment bands.

Who can apply

  • Units registered under the 2025 policy with a term loan from a scheduled commercial bank or a financial institution registered by the Reserve Bank of India.
  • The loan must fund plant and machinery (manufacturing) or a building and other durable assets (services).

How selection works: The District Industries Centre and the Directorate of Industries verify the claim, then the State Level Committee gives final approval. The guidelines say incentives cannot be claimed as a matter of right.

How to apply: Register the unit under the 2025 policy at the District Industries Centre first. Claim at the District Industries Centre in the prescribed format, with the supporting documents and bank proof. Each incentive is claimed separately, and all payments must be by bank transfer.
