About Power Subsidy

The subsidy is front-ended: the power bill is raised after deducting the subsidy per unit consumed. Manufacturing MSMEs and large or bulk consumers have different per-unit rates. It runs for five years from commercial production and cannot exceed the investment made in plant and machinery.

What you get

  • A per-unit rebate shown directly on the electricity bill.
  • Annual cap for MSME units.

Who can apply

  • Manufacturing units, MSMEs as well as large factories and bulk consumers.
  • Regular, timely payment to the Department of Power is a prerequisite.

How selection works: The District Industries Centre and the Directorate of Industries verify the claim, then the State Level Committee gives final approval. The guidelines say incentives cannot be claimed as a matter of right.

How to apply: Register the unit under the 2025 policy at the District Industries Centre first. The Power Department applies the rebate on the bill. Claim at the District Industries Centre in the prescribed format, with the supporting documents and bank proof. Each incentive is claimed separately, and all payments must be by bank transfer.
