About this subsidy
Under clause 12.8 D 15 of Punjab's Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022, an MSME unit that gets itself rated under the Government of India's Performance and Credit Rating Scheme can claim back part of the rating fee from the State. The State reimburses 25% of the fee, subject to a maximum of ₹10,000 — this sits on top of the central subsidy already available under the Ministry of MSME scheme, so the net out-of-pocket cost of getting a credit rating falls further. A rating is often what unlocks cheaper working-capital limits from banks, so the incentive is aimed at making that first rating affordable for small units.

What You Get
The State reimburses 25% of the fee paid for a rating under the Ministry of MSME's Performance and Credit Rating Scheme, capped at ₹10,000 per unit. It is a straight cash reimbursement against proof of payment — no equity, nothing repayable. Because the central scheme already subsidises part of the rating fee, the Punjab top-up is intended to bring the unit's own contribution down to a nominal amount.

Selection Process
