About this subsidy
Clause 12.8 C(11) of Punjab's Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022 reimburses 75% of the cost of a unit's technical audits, with a separate ceiling of INR 1.5 lakh for each of the audit types named — energy, environment, steam, water and safety. Each is claimable once during the validity period of the policy. Because the ceilings are per audit rather than pooled, a unit that commissions several of them can recover a meaningful share of what is usually treated as an unavoidable compliance cost.
