About this subsidy
Clause 12.8 D 22 of Punjab's Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022 offsets the inland logistics penalty of exporting from a landlocked state. An exporting MSME unit can claim 1% of FOB value or the actual freight paid from the place of manufacture to the place of shipment, whichever is less, subject to a maximum of ₹20 lakh per annum. The support runs for 5 years within the validity period of the policy. Because Punjab units truck their consignments several hundred kilometres to a port or ICD before they ever board a ship, that leg can decide whether an export order is profitable — this assistance is aimed squarely at it.

What You Get
The assistance is the lower of 1% of FOB value and the actual freight paid from the place of manufacture to the place of shipment, capped at ₹20 lakh per annum. It is available for 5 years within the policy's validity period, so a consistent exporter can draw on it year after year. It is a cash reimbursement against shipping documents — no equity, nothing repayable.
