About this subsidy
Clause 12.8 C(9) of Punjab's Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022 covers half the cost of acquiring technology from a recognised National Institute, subject to a maximum of INR 25 lakh. It is claimable once during the validity period of the policy. The clause is aimed at units licensing a proven process or product design from a national research institution rather than developing it in house — the technology transfer fee, associated know-how and its adoption cost are what the reimbursement is measured against.

Half the cost of adopting technology from a recognised National Institute comes back, capped at INR 25 lakh. It is a once-per-policy-period benefit, so it suits a substantial technology transfer rather than a series of small licensing deals.
