Quick Answer
Thrust-sector MSME and large units in Punjab get 100% of net SGST reimbursed for 10 years, capped at 125% of fixed capital investment.
About this subsidy
Clause 12.9 of Punjab's Industrial and Business Development Policy 2022 offers its most generous investment subsidy to units in the State's designated thrust sectors. For 10 years from the date of commercial production, the State reimburses 100% of net SGST on intra-state sales, with the cumulative benefit capped at 125% of Fixed Capital Investment. Both MSME and large units qualify. The 125% cap is the key number: unlike the general large-unit track, a thrust-sector unit can eventually recover more than its entire fixed capital outlay, which is the deliberate premium the State is paying to pull investment into priority industries.

What You Get
Full reimbursement of net SGST paid on intra-state sales for 10 years from commercial production, subject to a cumulative ceiling of 125% of Fixed Capital Investment. Because the ceiling exceeds the capital actually invested, a thrust-sector unit running at good capacity can recover more than its fixed capital outlay across the decade. Payments come as periodic reimbursements against filed GST returns.
