About this subsidy
Patent costs are a real deterrent for a small unit, and RIPS 2024 tackles that head-on. An MSME in Rajasthan can claim a subsidy of 75% of the cost of acquiring patents, up to INR 5 lakh.
For geographical indications and trademark registration, the scheme works differently: the State matches the financial assistance provided by the Government of India. So if a central scheme already funds part of your GI or trademark cost, Rajasthan adds an equal amount on top — the state benefit is defined by reference to the central one rather than by its own percentage.
Both are claimed under the RIPS 2024 process on Rajasthan's single-window investment portal, against costs you have actually incurred.

What You Get
Three quarters of what you spend acquiring a patent comes back, capped at INR 5 lakh — enough to cover drafting, filing and prosecution for a typical Indian patent. For geographical indications and trademark registration the State matches whatever financial assistance the Government of India provides, so central and state support stack on the same filing.
