Quick Answer
R&D centres, GCCs and test labs in Rajasthan get a 25% subsidy, up to INR 1 crore, on the cost of setting up environmental projects under RIPS 2024.
About this subsidy
The Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme (RIPS) 2024 backs green capex inside knowledge-economy units. An R&D centre, Global Capability Centre (GCC) or test lab that implements green initiatives or develops sustainability-oriented innovations can claim a 25% subsidy on the cost of establishing environmental projects, capped at INR 1 crore.
Environmental projects here mean the plant and systems a unit installs to cut its own footprint — effluent and waste treatment, emission control, water recycling and similar installations. You spend first and claim the subsidy against documented project cost, so the incentive works as a partial reimbursement of capital expenditure rather than upfront funding. It is claimed under the RIPS 2024 process through Rajasthan's single-window investment portal.

What You Get
You recover a quarter of what you spend establishing environmental projects at your R&D centre, GCC or test lab, up to INR 1 crore. The clause is aimed at units implementing green initiatives or building sustainability innovations, so investments such as effluent treatment, emission control or resource-recovery systems on your own premises are the intended target. The subsidy comes against documented project cost, alongside the other RIPS 2024 green incentives.
