Quick Answer
Standalone R&D units, GCCs and test labs in Rajasthan get 50% of patent, copyright, trademark and GI costs paid by the State, up to INR 5 crore.
About this subsidy
A research-only operation generates IP faster than it generates revenue, and RIPS 2024 sets its most generous IP ceiling for exactly that case. For standalone R&D units — including Global Capability Centres and test labs — the State pays 50% of the cost incurred for patent, copyright, trademark and registration of geographical indicators, up to INR 5 crore.
That ceiling is five times the one available to manufacturing and services enterprises under the same scheme, reflecting the volume of filings a dedicated research unit produces. All four IP classes draw on the single limit, so a sustained international filing programme can be pooled into the claim.
Support is against cost actually incurred, claimed under the RIPS 2024 process on Rajasthan's single-window investment portal.

What You Get
The State meets half of everything you spend on patents, copyright, trademarks and geographical indication registrations, up to INR 5 crore — the largest IP ceiling in RIPS 2024, and set aside for standalone R&D units, GCCs and test labs. With all four IP categories drawing on one limit, a unit filing across multiple jurisdictions can consolidate its claim rather than rationing it per filing.

Through the RIPS 2024 application on Rajasthan's Rajnivesh single-window portal.
