Quick Answer
50% exemption from transmission and wheeling charges for 7 years on renewable energy supplied to a green hydrogen plant in Rajasthan.
About this subsidy
Under the Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme 2024, a renewable energy plant that supplies power to a green hydrogen plant located within Rajasthan pays only half the normal transmission and wheeling charges on that supplied energy.
The concession applies specifically to the quantum of energy delivered to the green hydrogen plant and runs for seven years. For a developer building RE capacity dedicated to electrolyser offtake, this cuts a recurring line item in the cost of delivered green power for the whole of the early operating period.
The benefit is claimed under the RIPS 2024 process through the Rajasthan single-window investment portal.

What You Get
The energy supplied by an RE plant to a green hydrogen plant inside Rajasthan is 50% exempted from transmission and wheeling charges. The exemption runs for seven years from the point of eligibility. It is a charge concession rather than a cash payout, so the saving shows up directly in lower open-access charges on the power delivered to the hydrogen plant.
