UX Imperium is a cutting-edge, two-phased UX design hackathon organised by D’Code NSUT, the technical society of Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), Delhi. This competition pushes the boundaries of user experience and creative problem-solving — it's not just about making a beautiful app, but about building a robust, scalable design system under pressure.
Who Should Apply
Open to students and early-career designers, developers, and product enthusiasts across India. Teams of 2–4 members. Individual participants can form teams during registration.
Format & Timeline
The competition unfolds in two phases:
- Round 1 (Online): Teams architect a digital solution for a selected problem statement. Submissions must be made via public, view-only links (e.g., Figma). Presentation decks must be in PDF or Google Slides format.
- Round 2 (On-Campus Finale): Shortlisted teams must be physically present at the NSUT Main Campus in South West Delhi. They will face advanced, real-time UX challenges and unexpected design constraints under extreme time pressure.
Judging Criteria
Judging is based on creativity, usability, scalability of the design system, and ability to handle constraints. AI tools may only be used for basic assets (icons, minor illustrations). Generating entire screens, layouts, or written content via AI is strictly prohibited and will lead to disqualification.
