Quick Answer
An Assam government scheme for educated unemployed youth to run mobile retail shops on E-rickshaws, delivering essential commodities to the doorstep at reasonable prices.
About this grant
Aamar Dukan On Wheels is an Assam government scheme for educated unemployed youth. It builds on the existing Aamar Dukan initiative. Operators deliver essential non-PDS items to customers' doors at below MRP, using E-rickshaws.
You can apply if you are a permanent resident of Assam, aged 18 or above, with at least an HSLC or equivalent qualification. Your name must be registered in the Employment Exchange.
Selected beneficiaries get financial aid to set up and start their unit. It is not repayable under normal conditions. If you do not follow the scheme's rules and directions, you must return it with interest.
You may keep a profit margin of Rs. 2.00 to Rs. 3.00 per Kg or per litre sold. The E-rickshaws carry GPS-enabled smartphones and Bluetooth billing printers for cashless transactions. Local authorities set your area of operation and direct which wholesalers or stockists you buy from. You also keep stock books and distribution registers.
