About this grant
The DST NMICPS Technology Innovation Hub on Autonomous Navigation and Data Acquisition Systems (TiHAN) at IIT Hyderabad invites R&DI funding proposals to advance autonomous navigation and data acquisition technologies.
The program focuses on translational research with strong commercialization potential, supported through close industry–academia collaboration. Selected projects will be funded for a duration of 12 months and are expected to deliver tangible technological outcomes aligned with national priorities in autonomous systems.
The initiative covers more than nine thrust areas, including autonomous platforms, UAVs, ROVs, AI/ML, robotics, edge computing, cyber-physical systems, communications, standards, regulations, and long-term technology roadmapping.

What is the maximum funding amount?
Up to ₹25 lakhs per project.
Who is eligible to apply?
Scientists/engineers/technologists and faculty from universities/academic institutions, registered scientific societies, R&DI institutions/laboratories, and autonomous R&DI organizations of the government. Applicants must have approval from the competent authority at their institution and adequate infrastructure to carry out the proposed R&DI activities.
How should proposals be submitted?
Proposals must be submitted as a single consolidated PDF containing the proposal in the format specified in Annexure A and an endorsement letter signed by the Head of Institution as per Annexure B, via the application link on the TiHAN website.
