This Startup Grand Challenge is a joint initiative by CEAT Limited and Startup India, DPIIT, aimed at leveraging innovative startups to transform CEAT's shop floors.
The challenge specifically seeks simple, low-cost electro-mechanical automation solutions for the "Pick and Place" task in tyre manufacturing. The goal is to improve labor productivity and reduce manual fatigue (muri) caused by heavy lifting and repetitive placement of in-process tyres.
Key requirements for the desired solution are:
- Use of simple, off-the-shelf components (electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic).
- Easy integration with existing systems and minimal space footprint.
- Logic/PLC program written in standard platforms (RS Logic, Siemens Simatic).
The challenge offers both a financial reward and a path to commercial engagement.
