Hack With Vizag 4.0 is a student hackathon organised by Nadimpalli Satyanarayana Raju Institute of Technology (NSRIT), Visakhapatnam. The event is designed to encourage innovation, problem-solving,
and technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges. It follows a two-stage format: an online screening round followed by an offline hackathon round for shortlisted teams. Who Should Apply The hackathon is open to college and university students. Teams of 3–4 members can participate, but cross-college teams are not allowed. Each participant can register in only one team. Themes & Problem Statements Multiple problem statements will be provided across different themes, along with an Open Innovation category. Teams must select and work on only one problem statement during the competition. Format & Timeline The event begins with an online screening round, where teams must submit an abstract (150–200 words), a PPT, a supporting document (if applicable), and a video link. Shortlisted teams then advance to the offline hackathon round, where they develop and demonstrate their solution. The offline round is scheduled to take place in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. Judging criteria and the exact schedule of the offline round will be communicated to shortlisted teams. Prizes The total prize pool is ₹1,00,000. The winner receives ₹40,000, the runner-up ₹20,000, and the second runner-up ₹10,000. Additionally, around 10 consolation prizes of ₹3,000 each will be awarded. All participants who complete the hackathon will receive certificates. Eligibility & Fees Open to college/university students. Team size is 3–4 members. Online participation is free, but shortlisted teams must pay an offline participation fee of ₹500 per participant. Rules Submissions must be original and developed by the participating team. Plagiarism, impersonation, cheating, or unfair practices will lead to disqualification. Participants may use publicly available tools, frameworks, APIs, and datasets subject to their respective licenses. All submissions must be made within the specified deadlines. The judges' and organisers' decisions are final and binding.
