Real-Life Shark Tank — Health, Hygiene & Environment is a Shark Tank–inspired innovation and pitch competition organised by Project Vishisht, the health and hygiene initiative of NSS Kalindi College,
University of Delhi. Held on 24 September 2026 to mark the 57th NSS Day, the competition invites college students to identify a real-life problem in health, hygiene or the environment and pitch a creative, practical solution to a panel of judges. Who Should Apply Open to college students. Participants may enter individually or as part of a team of up to 3 members. Each person may participate in only one of the three NSS Day competitions. Tracks / Themes Entries must address one, two or all three of the following areas: - Health — problems and solutions relating to personal or public health. - Hygiene — sanitation, cleanliness and hygiene-related challenges. - Environment — ecological and sustainability issues. The proposed solution may take the form of a product, a service, or another useful idea, provided it realistically addresses the identified problem and clearly states who benefits. Format & Timeline The competition is held offline at Kalindi College, University of Delhi on 24 September 2026. Each individual or team receives 5+1 minutes in total: 5 minutes to deliver the pitch and 1 minute to show a pre-prepared one-minute reel. Both components are compulsory. The reel must be prepared in advance — no time is allotted for creating or editing it during the competition. Presentation materials may include a PPT, charts, posters, dashboards, prototypes, models, a verbal presentation or another creative medium. Judging Criteria Entries are assessed on creativity and innovation, practicality and feasibility, clarity of problem identification, potential impact, and the quality of the presentation and pitch. The judging panel comprises faculty members from the Commerce Department. The judges' decision is final. Prizes A total prize pool worth ₹15,000, including cash prizes and gifts, awarded across three ranks: - Winner: cash prize + gifts - 1st Runner-Up: prize + gifts - 2nd Runner-Up: prize + gifts Eligibility Open to college students. Teams may have a maximum of 3 members; individual entries are permitted. Entries must address health, hygiene or the environment, and all ideas and reels must be the participant's own work — copied or plagiarised entries will be disqualified. About the Organiser Project Vishisht is the health and hygiene initiative of the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit at Kalindi College, University of Delhi. The competition is held as part of the college's 57th NSS Day celebrations. It is an independent college competition inspired by the pitch format and is not affiliated with Shark Tank India.
