TECHNOCRUSE is a national business case challenge organized by Techkriti, the annual technical and entrepreneurship festival of IIT Kanpur. This completely online competition invites students from

all years and all streams to solve a real-world business case, presenting their strategic recommendations to a panel of industry judges. It is a unique opportunity for students to apply analytical and strategic thinking to a live business problem and compete on a national stage. Who Should Apply The competition is open to students from all years and all streams. It is strictly an individual participation event, so teams are not permitted. This makes it ideal for students who want to showcase their individual business acumen and problem-solving skills. Format & Timeline The event spans three days, from 2nd October to 4th October 2026. Participants must attend a mandatory opening webinar on 2nd October to receive the case details and ground rules. They then have until the deadline on 4th October to package their recommendations into a clear deck and submit it. Following submission, participants are required to present their strategic recommendation to a panel of industry judges and defend it during a Q&A round. Evaluation Criteria Submissions are judged on four parameters: Analysis (accurately reading the data to identify the core problem), Strategy (turning insights into a practical, working plan), Innovation (presenting an original idea), and Presentation (delivering a clear story that is well told and strongly defended). Prizes The winners will receive a cash prize of ₹1,00,000, along with Pre-Placement Interviews (PPIs) from Fin Mavericks. All participants will receive certificates from IIT Kanpur, and there are goodies to be won, including tablets, vouchers, course coupons, and exclusive merchandise. Eligibility Open to all students, regardless of year or stream. Individual participation only; team formations are not applicable. About the Organiser Techkriti is the annual technical and entrepreneurship festival of IIT Kanpur, one of India's premier engineering institutes. It hosts a wide range of competitions, workshops, and events that attract participants from across the country. How to Apply Registration is open until 1st October 2026.
