About
The Black-Box Protocol: Stage 03 — “System Convergence” is a 36-hour, high-intensity offline engineering hackathon organised by TECHhelp4U. It is designed to push builders beyond throwaway prototypes
and towards systems that demonstrate architectural resilience, technical depth, real-world utility, and long-term scalability. The event follows a strict 100% Open Innovation model — no forced tracks, no predefined problem statements, and no restricted technology stack. Teams choose the problem, design the architecture, and build the system. Who Should Apply This hackathon is built for developers, designers, founders, and builders who want to move beyond temporary prototypes and engineer solutions capable of surviving the real world. Teams of 2–4 members are eligible, and each team must include at least one female builder. Approximately 75–90 teams will be shortlisted for the offline event, bringing together 300–350 builders. Format & Timeline The competition follows a two-round pipeline. Round 01 is online registration and initial system screening. Registration opens on August 28, 2026, and closes on September 25, 2026. Teams submit their details and a preliminary idea pitch. Shortlisted teams are announced on September 28, 2026, and must complete RSVP confirmation by October 1, 2026. Round 02 is the 36-hour offline engineering crucible held on October 6–7, 2026, in Kurukshetra, Haryana. The build is structured with mentor checkpoints at Hour 08 (Architecture Audit), Hour 18 (Stress-Test Clinic), and Hour 28 (Viability Polish). Code freezes at Hour 34, followed by tier-1 table-side scrutiny where each team gives a 3-minute live demo and 2-minute Q&A. The top 10 teams advance to the Grand Stage for a 4-minute pitch and 2-minute jury Q&A. Winners are announced on October 8, 2026. Judging Criteria Projects are evaluated against universal engineering benchmarks: architecture resilience, security and error handling, execution completeness (a fully functioning live system with zero mock data), and real-world utility with measurable impact and clear adoption logic. Prizes The total prize pool is ₹2,00,000 in cash, plus internships, incubation support, goodies, and certificates. The winner receives ₹25,000, the 1st runner-up ₹15,000, and the 2nd runner-up ₹10,000. Winning teams also receive PPOs, PPIs, goodies, and certificates. Additionally, there is a direct internship interview offer worth ₹1.5 lakh for teammates of winning teams, and accelerated incubation support to Stage 5 for startup funding. Top 10 teams receive goodies and merchandise, and three special category winners will be chosen based on judgements (categories revealed on hackathon day). Eligibility Open to teams of 2–4 members. Each team must include at least one female builder; teams without female representation will be disqualified during screening. All code must be authored and committed during the active 36-hour build window; pre-built private codebases lead to immediate disqualification. All IP remains 100% owned by the participating teams. About the Organiser TECHhelp4U is the organiser of The Black-Box Protocol, a hackathon series designed to challenge conventional hackathon formats. The event is hosted on Unstop, a platform for student competitions and hackathons in India. How to Apply Register your team on the official Unstop page before September 25, 2026. Shortlisted teams will be notified on September 28, 2026, and must confirm their RSVP by October 1, 2026.
