About this grant
The DPCC Innovation Challenge is a flagship initiative launched by the Government of NCT of Delhi to source and support low-cost, easy-to-maintain, scalable, and effective technological solutions for air pollution in Delhi.
The challenge invites path-breaking ideas to address two main areas:
- Reducing/absorbing/capturing PM2.5 and PM10 emissions from BS-IV or below vehicles.
- Reducing/absorbing/capturing PM2.5 and PM10 emissions from the ambient air.
The support is provided in three stages, covering the cost of rigorous testing and awarding cash prizes:
- Initial Award: ₹5 lakhs will be given for EVERY proposal that successfully clears Stage 2 (Field Trials and Validation).
- Final Award: An incentive of ₹50 lakhs will be awarded to every project that clears Stage 3 and is formally recommended to the GNCTD for potential deployment.
- Testing Costs: Covered by DPCC (up to ₹10 lakhs per submission for Stage 2).

What You Get
DPCC covers Stage 2 testing costs up to ₹10 lakhs per submission. Every proposal that successfully completes Stage 2 (Field Trials and Validation) receives an initial award of ₹5 lakhs. Every project that clears Stage 3 and is formally recommended for deployment receives a final award of ₹50 lakhs.

Who can apply?
Individuals, DPIIT-registered startups, R&D institutions, universities, companies, partnerships, or any other legal entity or team across India can apply.
What kind of solutions are accepted?
Solutions must address either reducing/absorbing/capturing PM2.5 and PM10 emissions from BS-IV or below vehicles, or from ambient air. They must be low-cost, easy to maintain, scalable, and effective, with a working prototype at TRL 6–9.
What are the cash prizes?
An initial award of ₹5 lakhs for every proposal that clears Stage 2, and a final award of ₹50 lakhs for every project that clears Stage 3 and receives a formal recommendation for deployment.
