Dron-O-War 1.0 is a national-level drone and aerial innovation championship hosted by Jaypee Institute of Information Technology (JIIT), Sector-128, Noida. This high-energy event brings together drone pilots, innovators, and engineering enthusiasts from across India to compete in various technical arenas, fostering innovation and skill development in aerial robotics.
Competition Categories
Participants can register for one or more of the following competitive arenas: FPV Racing Championship, Payload Delivery Mission, Autonomous Drone Mission, RC Plane Challenge, and a dedicated Design & Innovation (Exhibition Category). These challenges are meticulously designed to test precision flying, programming capability, engineering design, and practical real-world drone applications.
Who Should Apply
The championship is open to students currently enrolled in universities and institutes across India. Participants are required to register in teams, with a minimum of 1 member and a maximum of 5 members per team.
Event Details
Dron-O-War 1.0 is scheduled to take place on May 2nd and 3rd, 2026, at the Jaypee Institute of Information Technology campus in Noida. Beyond the competitions, the event will feature expert interactions, technical demonstrations, and insightful knowledge sessions led by domain specialists and researchers. Detailed rulebooks and technical specifications for each category will be released on the official website.
Prizes
A substantial total prize pool of ₹8,00,000 is available, to be distributed among the winning teams across the various competition categories.
Registration & Accommodation
The registration deadline for all participants is April 20th, 2026. While students from Jaypee campuses (Guna, Anoopshahr, Waknaghat, JIIT Noida) receive free registration, external university participants are required to pay an applicable fee (₹500 for teams of 1–2 members, ₹1000 for teams of 3–5 members), which includes refreshments. On-campus accommodation is available for 2 or 3 nights at an additional cost, subject to availability.
