This competition is open to any school, college, or university student in India. Teams can consist of 1 to 4 members, and members may come from different institutions. It is ideal for students passionate about robotics, mechatronics, embedded systems, and competitive engineering.

What to Expect

Two-day event on 24 and 25 September 2026 at Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai.
Prize pool of ₹20,000 with trophies for 1st and 2nd positions.
Intense sumo battles in a 150 cm diameter ring with a 5 cm black border.
Strict robot specifications including weight (max 5 kg with 5% tolerance), size (must fit in a 30x30 cm box at start), voltage (max 16.8V), and control (2.4 GHz radio with dual-frequency or channel hopping).
Comprehensive rulebook covering allowed and banned components, match procedures, fouls, and inspection protocols.
Included amenities: Lunch and refreshments for all registered participants, e-certificates for every participant, and hardcopy certificates and trophies for winners. Accommodation is not provided.

Agenda Highlights

Day 1 (24 Sep): Registration, robot inspection, and preliminary rounds.
Day 2 (25 Sep): Final battles, prize distribution, and closing ceremony.

Entry fee: ₹700 for the first phase of registration.
Team size: 1 to 4 members (additional members beyond four are ₹250 each and receive e-certificates).
