Voice AI Builders’ Room | Microsoft X Aight

What is it? A hands-on, invite-only workshop where founders, operators, and engineers build a working Hinglish voice agent from scratch in one room. Hosted by Aight (Getaight.ai) in collaboration with Microsoft for Startups, this is not a talk—it is a build session.

Who is it for? Founders and operators building in voice AI, exploring the space, or looking to use voice agents in their business. Whether you are building a voice product, evaluating voice for your company, or simply curious about what is now possible, this room is for you. Invite only—applicants must share what they are building or want to build with voice.

What to expect?

Demos: Microsoft’s senior engineering team walks through the voice agent stack live: speech input, the model, speech output, and the infrastructure needed to run it in real time. They also show what works during an actual phone call and what only works in a controlled demo.
Build: You get starter code and hands-on support from practitioners and Microsoft engineers throughout the session. By the end of the build block, you will have your own working voice agent.
Present: Every builder gets a few minutes to demo what they made. It is also a good way to meet other founders and engineers in the room and see what they are building. The top three demos will receive AI credits to help take their voice agents further after the workshop.
Snacks and networking: Good food at the Microsoft office, with a room full of people who have just spent the last three hours building together.

Why this matters? Most voice agents are designed for English. They struggle as soon as a real Indian customer switches between Hindi and English, says numbers in Hindi, or uses names the speech model has not encountered before. This workshop focuses on solving those problems, making it highly relevant for the Indian market where Hinglish is the lingua franca of customer interactions.

Organiser background: Aight (Getaight.ai) is an Indian startup focused on building voice AI solutions for Indian languages and use cases. Microsoft for Startups is a global program that supports early-stage startups with technology, go-to-market resources, and community access. This collaboration brings together deep technical expertise and startup ecosystem support.

Come prepared: Bring a laptop. Basic Python will help, but the starter code will carry you if you are rusty. Already have a use case in mind? Even better—you will move faster during the build session. Seats are limited. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
