About the Opportunity Hackfinity 3.0 is a 24-hour hackathon organised by Ramco Institute of Technology (RIT), Tamil Nadu, designed to foster innovation, collaboration, and creativity among student participants. The event encourages teams to build functional prototypes or solutions addressing specific themes or challenges announced during registration.
Who Should Apply Open to students from the same college only. Teams must consist of 2–4 members; cross-college teams and solo participants are not permitted.
Format & Timeline The hackathon is conducted in two rounds:
- Round 1 (Online): Teams submit a brief proposal using a PPT (maximum 8 slides) outlining their project idea, problem statement, and proposed solution. Shortlisted teams then develop a working prototype based on their approved idea. Submission window: July 27, 2026 – August 30, 2026. Results announced on September 5, 2026.
- Round 2 (Offline at RIT): The top 25 teams (finalists) present their projects to judges. Each team gets 5 minutes for a demo and Q&A. Finalists must pay a participation fee of ₹200 per head (covers food, snacks, ID, and network access). The offline event runs from September 18–19, 2026.
Judging Criteria
- Innovation (30%): Originality and creativity of the idea.
- Functionality (30%): How well the prototype works and addresses the problem.
- Technical Complexity (30%): Depth and sophistication of the solution.
- Presentation (10%): Clarity and effectiveness of the demo or pitch.
Prizes Total prize pool of ₹30,000 distributed as:
- First Prize: ₹15,000
- Second Prize: ₹10,000
- Third Prize: ₹5,000
- Special awards for categories such as Best Design, Most Impactful Solution, and others as applicable.
Eligibility Open to students from the same college only. Teams of 2–4 members. Solo participants not allowed. All team members must be from the same institution.
About the Organiser Ramco Institute of Technology (RIT) is a Tamil Nadu-based engineering college that regularly hosts technical events and hackathons to promote student innovation and hands-on learning.
How to Apply Registration and submissions are done via Unstop. The registration deadline is August 30, 2026. Finalists must pay a participation fee of ₹200 per head and submit presentation materials before the event.
