Teams can choose from various investment objectives, including Growth Fund, Value Fund, Sectoral Fund, Balanced Equity Fund, High-Risk High-Return Fund, or Dividend Fund. The challenge requires a deep understanding of stock selection, market dynamics, and risk-return trade-offs.
Format & Timeline
The simulation runs from April 14 to April 17, 2026. Teams are required to construct a portfolio of a maximum of 10 stocks, providing clear rationale for each selection based on financial and market-related factors. Comprehensive financial analysis, including metrics like Alpha, Beta, Sharpe Ratio, and Expected Return, must be presented. The competition culminates in a structured presentation of the mutual fund design, its objectives, stock list, weightage, justifications, and risk-return analysis. Judging will be based on the relevance and quality of stock selection, clarity of fund objective, depth of justification, accuracy of calculations, understanding of risk-return relationships, presentation quality, and originality.
Prizes
A substantial total cash prize pool of ₹10,00,000 (Ten Lakhs INR) will be awarded to the top three winning teams. This significant prize recognizes excellence in financial analysis and strategic portfolio management.
Eligibility
The competition is open to teams comprising 1 to 3 members. Participants are expected to adhere to all rules, including proper citation of data sources and clear disclosure of assumptions. Plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification.
